When Melissa Williams walks through the door of a house, she doesn’t see it as it is — she envisions what it can become. She developed that unique ability early in her real estate career. Melissa says, “As my portfolio grew, so did my home improvement project management skills and my obsessive vision of what every distressed house I walked into could be.” Having learned the intricacies of property management, she decided to move past being a landlord to help others find the home that would fit their needs.

Melissa’s background was well suited to her new profession. She had worked for a time in equity research, moved into a sales and service role with a building and facilities service company, and then held management positions as a contractor with several Fortune 500 companies. She found that her skills in project and relationship management applied directly to her real estate career and aligned perfectly with her core values of integrity; careful communication, especially listening; and service to others.

When she’s not assessing a property’s potential or meeting a client, Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband, Brett, and her two young boys, Mikey and Parker. The whole family loves to go snowboarding in the winter.
