Located in the eastern part of Sacramento, California, it’s known for its large elm, ash, and oak trees that provide a shady canopy for the neighborhood. Although it is infrequently traveled due to its lack of thoroughfare streets, it is an excellent residential neighborhood to live in. Elmhurst is known for its well maintained homes with a real feeling of community. And, the proximity to area freeways make it a great place to live for a commuter into Downtown Sacramento. Living in Elmhurst offers residents an urban-suburban feel and most residents own their homes.
