West Sacramento sits just across the Sacramento River from Downtown Sacramento, and it also divides Sacramento and Yolo counties. It offers amazing views of Old Sacramento and the Downtown Sacramento skyline as well as a peaceful river walk between the Tower Bridge and the I Street Bridge. West Sacramento is also home to Raley Field  and the Sacramento River Cats (the AAA affiliate of the San Francisco Giants). West Sacramento has become a hotbed for restaurants, bars, and several breweries such as Jackrabbit, Bike Dog and Yolo Brewing Company located in the popular waterfront area. 
 
West Sacramento was once named one of the fastest growing real estate markets by Sacramento Magazine. Homes range from historic Queen Anne cottages to newer, affordable homes in planned communities. Gated riverfront properties are also available throughout the region. Residents of West Sacramento have an easy commute to Downtown Sacramento, the California State Capitol, and are only ten minutes away from U.C. Davis on the other side of the Yolo Causeway. 
 
For outdoor enthusiasts, there are more than 35 parks in the area, offering river access, recreational sports, playgrounds, amphitheaters, walking paths, and picnic areas. The popular River Walk Park sits between Tower and I Street Bridges and is home to many events, concerts and festivals. West Sacramento is within walking distance of the Golden 1 Center (Sacramento Kings Arena) and the newly constructed DOCO (Downtown Commons) areas. River Walk Park also includes a variety of paved walking and biking trails, offering incomparable views of Old Sacramento and the Sacramento skyline.
